Vizio announced today a new Android based tablet to join their line-up. The Vizio VTAB1008 Android tablet comes with a 8-inch capacitive touchscreen display, GPS, Bluetooth, 2GB of internal storage space and an SSD slot to extend the storage spage up to 32GB, a micro HDMI output for connectivity to other devices and is powered by a 1Ghz processor.

Vizio announces that their new tablet can be also used to remote control other Vizio devices you might own with the aid of the built-in IR blaster and universal control app.

Details about pricing or availability haven’t been announced at this time.
