Toshiba has released a lot of tablets lately and here’s another one coming just before Christmas time, this time running on Windows 7. It seems that all tablets released lately are running on Android, so it’s nice to see something new from time to time.
Even though the Dynabook WT301/D tablet from Toshiba has been announced only for Japan, we can hope and pray it will soon make its way worldwide and Toshiba won’t leave people waiting too long.
The Dynabook WT301/D is the latest 10.1-inch tablet from Toshiba, running on Windows 7. In terms of specs, you might think we’re talking about a netbook rather than a tablet.
The Dynabook features the next generation Intel Atom processor and 2GB of RAM. Pretty high end for a tablet in my book. The Dynabook also features a LED backlit, 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a 1366 x 768 resolution that will be perfect for multitasking and watching Full HD videos.
The Toshiba Dynabook WT301/D is definitely a high-end tablet, given its technical specs, and has been equipped with a 3 megapixel camera on the rear, that will help you capture medium quality video or take photos, and a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front, dedicated to video conferencing.
Toshiba has also equipped its Dynabook with WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 and offers connectivity options such as USB port and microHDMI that allows you to connect this tablet to your HDTV and watch your video on the wide screen.
The Toshiba Dynabook WT301/D runs on Windows 7 Professional and might be perfect for those who want a tablet that behaves exactly like their PC or laptop, to ease their transition in the tablet world.
Although the Dynabook will only be available in Japan for now, Toshiba still has the AT200 Excite and Thrive 7 tablets that are ready for you right now, and will make a great holiday gift.
