Sprint and HTC have jointly announced the HTC EVO 4G, the world’s first and HTC’s first 3G/4G Android mobile phone. The Sprint HTC Evo 4G is basically the Android version of the HTC HD2 and adds support for WiMAX high-speed network.

The Super Smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8650 1GHz processor which is the same CPU found in the HD2, HTC Desire, Nexus One and Toshiba TG02. It features a 4.3-inch large touchscreen display, a 8 Megapixel camera, a 1.3 Megapixel front camera for video calling, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. It is the first 4G Smartphone from Sprint and supports EV-DO Rev. A 3G and WiMAX 4G networks.
