Samsung comes forward with a new revolutionary product that’s bound to attract some attention.
The company’s SE-218BB is, starting right now, the world’s thinnest external DVD burner in the world, measuring only 14mm in thickness and making it almost 18% thinner than any other DVD burning product currently on the market.
The Samsung SE-218BB has been designed with portability in mind and is bound to be used by those who own ultrabooks as they don’t get the DVD burning option by default. You could also opt for it if you’re using a tablet and the good news is that it only needs a USB cable for both power and connectivity with your device.
Samsung’s SE-218BB will write DVD+/-R at 8x, DVD+RW at 8x, DVD-RW at 6x, DVD+/-R Dual Layer at 6x, DVD-RAM at 5x as well as CD-R/RW at 24x and is compatible with Mac OS X, Windows and Android 3.1 and packs in the Buffer Under Run technology in order to prevent errors. You could also use it as a portable DVD drive to watch your movies when you’re on the road.
The Samsung SE-218BB slim external DVD-burner is available right now for $59.99.
