Samsung has made some waves with its new OLED TV this year at the CES in Las Vegas.
Even though it’s an impressive addition to Samsung’s line-up, this Samsung OLED TV is not accessible to everyone, so if you’re looking for an affordable Smart TV solution in 2012, you might want to look at the new ES8000 series of LED Smart TVs.
Samsung’s ES8000 line of LED TVs for 2012 will impress you with a gorgeous design and Smart TV capabilities available this spring for a reasonable price. The company has paid very much attention to the Smart TV capabilities this year with all its LED models, wanting to offer a truly Smart TV with its proprietary interface and apps.
The Samsung ES8000 range is prepared for the future as it features a slot at the back that will enable any user to upgrade their TV set using a chip technology. So next year, you won’t have to rush to the store and buy the new model, because you’ll be able upgrade to the latest technology using the Samsung Evolution Kit.
Samsung announced that the ES8000 series of flagship LED TVs to come in four models this year. Ranging from 46 to 70-inches, these new models will all be 3D-enabled, offering 1080p Full HD panel and 2D to 3D conversion, so you can watch older content in 3D with these LED large screen TVs.
Samsung introduces a new technology with their ES8000 series, namely the Micro Dimming Ultimate technology, which analyzes the picture frame by frame in order to remove the halo effect and render a sharper and crisper image and higher contrast ratios and brightness.
The design is quite impressive as well, and you’ll find that Samsung has chosen to use the same minimalist look we can find in last year’s models, but with several improvements.
Improvements to the design consist of a smaller bezel, measuring now only 0.2-inches, a chrome, elegant finish and the new stand looks pretty great as well.
The ES8000 series from Samsung has been equipped with a dual core processor and a webcam which will enable gestures control. You will be able to use your ES8000 model to surf the web, connect to popular Internet Streaming services and watch online content and download Samsung apps from the company’s website which can actually extend your LED TV’s functionality even further.
All in all, you’ll find that the new ES8000 series comes with everything you’ll ever need in 2012, however if you don’t mind paying more for some extra quality, you can also take a look at Samsung’s E8000 series of Plasma TVs.
There’s no word yet about pricing or availability with the ES8000 models, but Samsung will most likely let us know in February.
