Olympus comes forward with a brand new rugged camera to be released in the company’s TOUGH line of products.

The Olympus TOUGH TG-820 iHS rugged camera has been tested under extreme conditions and features Freezeproof, Shockproof, Waterproof and Dustproof capabilities. The TOUGH TG-820 camera will enable you to take quality shots even in extreme conditions as it features technologies such as High-Sensitivity, High-Speed and Intelligent, as the iHS name suggests.

Olympus has designed a beautiful rugged camera that will not disappoint its users in terms of features either. It comes with a 12 Megapixel CMOS sensor, TruePic VI image processor, 5x optical zoom lens and 10x Super-Resolution Zoom.

In order to compensate for the lack of stability in extreme environments, the TOUGH TG-820 rugged camera comes with high ISO sensitivity and sensor-shift image stabilization as well as Multi-Motion Movie IS for video.

The Olympus TOUGH TG-820 also comes with a few HDR features such as HDR Backlight Adjustment and 3D image capture mode.

Olympus’ TOUGH TG-820 rugged camera will become available in March, in black, silver and blue colors for $299.99.
