The ultrabook market is bound to get bigger in 2012 as new releases from companies are beginning to appear. Dell has officially launched its XPS 13 ultrabook and Acer will soon do the same with its Aspire S5 ultrabook.

Lenovo is preparing a new ultrabook release as well, and this one is announced as a more affordable option for a 13.3-inch ultrabook.

The Lenovo IdeaPad U300e comes with a 13.3-inch display and 1366×768 resolution that will easily allow users to watch HD videos. The new IdeaPad U300e is powered by a Intel Core i5 aided by 4GB of RAM, the downside however remains the integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000.

In terms of design, Lenovo has been once again inspired by the MacBook Pro. That translates into a minimalist aluminum finish for the U300e as well and a lightweight device measuring just 14mm in thickness and weighing only 1.32kg.

Other specifications for the IdeaPad U300e include a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a 32GB solid state drive for your OS and a choice between a 500GB and a 750GB hard drive.

The IdeaPad U300e from Lenovo also features the usual connectivity options and you’ll be able to find WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, HD audio and a couple of speakers with SRS Premium Surround Sound. This new Lenovo ultrabook also comes with an Advanced Cooling Technology that pushes out the hot air through the Breathable Keyboard.
