The CES is the place for world premieres and this year is no different. Huawei has brought to this year’s show the world’s slimmest smartphone in the the form of the Huawei Ascend P1S. This new smartphone from Huawei measures only 6.68mm in thickness which makes it the slimmest in the world so far.
Huawei Ascend P1S Smartphone
The Ascend P1S from Huawei is powered by a 1.5Ghz TI OMAP 4460 Cortex A9 processor and runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. If that doesn’t impress you, you should know that there’s also a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with Gorilla Glass worth mentioning, making the P1S impressive not only through its slim design but also through performance.
Huawei Ascend P1 Smartphone
Huawei has also brought another smartphone model to the CES, in the form of the Ascend P1. This second smartphone is equally impressive in terms of performance, however it is a bit thicker, measuring 7.69mm.
Other features coming with these two Huawei smartphones include a 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, HDR effect optimization, Full HD 1080p playback and recording and a second 1.3 megapixel camera on the front, which you can use for video conferencing.
Connectivity-wise, you’ll be able to find WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth as well as 3G with both Ascend P1S and P1 smartphones.
The Huawei Ascend P1S and P1 smartphones will become available world-wide in April 2012.
