Hitachi introduces a new, wireless solution for your storage needs. The G-Connect HDD comes with G-Technology that will assist you in backing up your tablet or smartphone wirelessly and has been equipped with Ethernet, WiFi and USB 2.0 to further extend the connectivity options.
Hitachi’s G-Connect wireless external hard drive comes with 500GB of storage space for your digital content and can also be used as a wireless router, providing wireless Internet to up to five devices and also stream HD content to your mobile device.
The Hitachi G-Connect will allow you to surf and stream content wirelessly and will automatically categorize your media in folders depending on their type. The G-Connect is a DLNA certified device and comes with an app for the iOS, while Android devices will get a dedicated app by this fall. Until than, Android smartphone users will be able to access cotent from the G-Connect in a browser.
Hitachi’s G-Connect wireless storage hard drive will become available next month for a suggested retail price of $199.99 for the 500GB version.
