After Flatfrog introduced the coffee table multitouch display, a new piece of news tells us that a team of young engineers have just invented a werable keyboard – another SciFi movie concept we’ve previously seen in movies such as Minority Report.

The achronym they’ve gone with for this new wearble keyboard concept is G.A.U.N.T.L.E.T. meaning Generally Accessible Universal Nomadic Tactile Low-power Electronic Typist. A rather cheesy name but a great idea coming to life makes up for it. The brains behind it is Jiake Liu who must’ve been inspired by SciFi movies from a while back. The GAUNTLET pairs with your smartphone via Bluetooth and all over the fingers area are letters to help you type your messages.

Some say it’s a bit uncomfortable but keep in mind that this one was a school project initially. The creator says that with a bit more work it could really become something practical and help people “communicate” with appliances around their home in the future.
