There has been a lot of talk on the new BlackBerry Curve 3G lately, it’s been up for sale even before the official release. Today, RIM has officially released their new smartphone which will be available for purchase in mid-August.

BlackBerry Curve 3G smartphone sports a 2-megapixel camera, dual-band UMTS/HSPA as well as al 2.8-inch QVGA display. The device will initially come with the BlackBerry 5 OS, although a later release will sport the new BlackBerry 6 OS most likely at the end of this year.

BlackBerry Curve 3G smartphone also features a full QWERTY keyboard, trackpad, WiFi b/g/n and GPS, along with a 3.5mm headset jack and microUSB port.  Additionally to quadband GSM/EDGE there will be North American and European 3G versions: (800/850)/1900/2100 MHz and 900/1700/2100 MHz UMTS.
