Samsung and AT&T have unveiled a new version of the SII at this year’s CES, that’s already gathering some attention. The new Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket HD has been equipped with a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display featuring a 1280×720 pixel resolution and comes with 4G LTE connectivity.

This one is a new version of the Galaxy SII plus a few improvements to bring this popular handset into 2012. The Galaxy SII Skyrocket is powered by a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor while its HD capabilites are handled by the 8 megapixel camera on-board, featuring autofocus and LED flash.

If you want to capture your memories in HD, the new Skyrocket version of Galaxy SII seems a perfect option to do so and you’ll be able to playback and record 1080p Full HD video at 30FPS without any trouble.

Other features include WiFi connectivity, Blueooth and GPS, while the new Skyrocket seems to have been equipped with a thin frame measuring only 9.27mm in thickness and leading to the same slim design found with the first Galaxy SII.

There’s no word about pricing or availability about the new Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket HD at this moment.
