After a succesful release of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package Expansion just a few weeks ago, Activision announced the release of another similar extension for the latest popular Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 2.

The name of the new extension will be “Resurgence” and it is expected to add and update a few maps while the retail price for the new extension is expected to be around 15$.

According to Activision, the “Resurgence” extension will be released for Xbox 360 on June 3rd while the release for the PS3 console is yet to be announced, but will most likely be July.

Also worth mentioning is that Infinity Ward will be hosting two double XP weekends- one starting May 28th, and the other on June 4th to celebrate the release of the “Resurgence” package. A double XP weekend means that over the weekend players earn double their experience points (XP).
